Two analytical mechanisms work together.

That makes it possible to distinguish an isolated spike from a persistent change in behavior—and normal variation from evidence that the asset is moving toward a different operating state.

How it's better

Traditional threshold monitoring is good at telling you when a measurement exceeds a predefined limit. It is less effective at recognizing slow deterioration, changing relationships between variables or subtle patterns that matter because of how they develop over time.

Lumicent looks for the trajectory, not just the event.

Does Lumicent require integration with SCADA, ERP or EAM?

No. Lumicent can operate using its own sensing and intelligence infrastructure. SCADA, ERP, EAM, CMMS and other systems can provide additional context or receive Lumicent intelligence where useful, but those integrations are additive rather than prerequisites.

Is Lumicent a hardware or sensor platform?

No. Lumicent is software-first. Sensors and edge infrastructure provide the continuous physical evidence the platform needs, but the differentiated value comes from what the software does with that evidence: understand changing conditions, determine consequence and prioritize action.

How does Lumicent use AI and machine learning?
